I couldn't imagine how annoying and frustrating it would be to have a mother-in-law like this one. I would hate for someone to try to tell me what I can and can't buy for my own home! Talk about nosy and domineering. She's right, her husband needs to speak up for them.

Entitled mother-in-law of 24-year-old dictates what she can buy for her home, DIL snaps at husband for lacking courage to tell his mother off: "We're adults"
Welcome back ladies and gentlemen of the internet. I always say that be careful who you marry. You're not just tying a knot with the person, but you're tying a knot with their whole family. I've been lucky in that I love my in-laws. There's something so special about seeing them for breakfast on the weekends in their beautiful home. It sits right in the midst of available nature, and they always provide the best cheeses! But not everyone is so lucky with angelic in-laws. There are so many stereotypes about controlling mother-in-laws, demanding father-in-laws, or judgmental siblings.
It's important to spend time with your partner's friends and family before saying the infamous "I do." If you have even the slightest doubt about their family in ways that could affect forever, wait on the ring.
In the story below, the protagonist is a young woman who just wants to feel comfortable in her humble abode. Her controlling mother-in-law makes her stay more uncomfortable than it should be.
